Thomas Meredith of Llangunllo married Gwenlain daughter to David Gee or Dee. Robert Thomas Meredith had two sons Richard and John. They lived at western Llangunllo. Richard entered Jesus College in 157, appointed Chaplain to the Lord Deputy of Ireland in 1585. Dean of St. Patrick's in Dublin in 1856. He was consecrated Bishop of Leignlin Ferns and Ossary in 1589. He was ent to the Tower in London by Queen Elizabeth, but afterwards released, not being guilty. He died in 1597 leaving his widow with 5 children. Later the widow maried Adam Loftus, Arcgbishop of Dublin. ------------- John the 2nd son of Thomas Meredith is the progenator of Richard Meredith of Rowley in the county of Radnor who was born in 1683.
