You can go ahead and post it. However, the site is an orphan. I can no longer edit the data. Seems that when Yahoo took over Geocities I did not move it in time, so they left it up, but I no longer have any access. So it's up there, mistakes and all. I have delved deeper into the mystery of my Meredith family since then and discovered a lot more. It seems that Joseph(b1813, Ohio) noted in the 1880 census that his father was from Delaware. I don't know which Delaware line and that's my current brick wall. I did discover that Joseph was a minister of Gospel(also according to the 1880 census) who moved from Indiana to kansas and then to Terrell,Kaufman County ,Texas, where he died in 1885. He is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Terrell. A distant cousin found this site and we have since put together a number of recent generations, most of them living in the Texas-Oklahoma area. This is ususual since I live in Massachusetts. In any case, feel free to post it to the site. You can also post the email. I will gladly answer any questions that time permits. Cheers, Richard Meredith http://www.my-ged.com/db/page/mcginnis/2580 http://biographiks.com/pleasant/wv.htm +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Happy great morning to you RMChef@aol.com The reason for this note is twofold.. 1st reason: Is to ask how your health is? You have not posted any information or thoughts in a very long time..Hope you are well. 2nd reason: Is to ask your permission to post the information (listed below) to the MEREDITH-L rootsweb.com site. I will strongly advise all folks, reading this information in said site, not to take any monetary benefits from these important written contributions of yours. If they have any queries, about any of these given names, that no permission is given to contact you.(of course if this is what you want..?) otherwise permission will be granted, should you advise so. Thank you, Jerry Bluchp56@aol.com +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Internet Family Tree Richard James Meredith Contents Introduction Surnames Contact Home Card Index Sources ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Introduction WELCOME TO MY FAMILY TREE! In it you will find some who are famous, some who are not so famous and some just like the rest of us-still searching. I am assuming you are one of the latter, simply because you have accessed this site. Genealogy is an ongoing process. Some of it is very accurate and some is not. I have endeavored to make this as accurate as humanly possible. It is not ,however, without arguable errors. I have listed the sources of my information. You may check the online sources yourself. If you disagree with my findings, just email me and we can discuss it! I have also tried very hard to remove the names of LIVING individuals. I know I did not get all of them because of the sheer size of the file, however, anyone living whose name appears in this file and wants it removed , simply contact me and I will be happy to do so. Generally, anyone who is living and appears in this file is listed by name and possibly date of birth ONLY. I have also removed as many people born after 1900 AD, so none of my living relatives are listed. If you think you share a descendant of any of the families listed and want further information, I likely have some of it. Just send me an email. The tree begins with my Grandfather, Charles Earl Meredith, who was always a mystery to my family. Apparently , he wanted to disappear after parting company with my Grandmother( who was about the most wonderful person I ever knew) and was sucessful during his lifetime in doing so. Little did he realise his grandson would "dig him up". I would like to acknowledge the wonderful work of a number of lookup volunteers who assisted in my research. Thank you ! You know who you are. I won't put your names in to avoid getting besieged by requests. Besides, giving clues may take away some of the fun you may experience finding your own roots. If you find any errors or omissions, or wish to add , or maybe just argue with me, please email RMChef@aol.com This site is dedicated to the loving memory of my mother, Doris Elizabeth Meredith(1926-1997) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Contact RMChef@aol.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Created 26 Aug 1999 by EasyTree, from Sierra Internet Family Tree Richard James Meredith www.geocities.com/Heartland/Village/7399/WC_TOC.htm MEREDITH Amaretta Anna E.
