Vines of 1877 You seem to have alot of knowledge about Davis Meredith and his third wife Nancy Ann Pritchard. I had been told that my ggg-grandfather, Thomas Meredith was their son. From what I have seen there were 2 Thomas Meredith's that often get mixed up because they were born a few years apart. My Thomas Meredith was born in Virginia on December 13, 1805 and died on March 15, 1885. He married Elizabeth Powell, whose parents were Moses Powell and Rebecca Meredith(her parents were Peter Meredith and Elizabeth Broadway). Thomas and Elizabeth are on the 1830 Coshocton County, OH census where you will also find Isaac and Job Meredith. By 1840 Thomas and family settle in Fulton/Kosciusko Counties the remainder of their life along with other Merediths. The reason I question that Davis was his father was no one else that I am aware of came to OH/IN. Local Fulton County, IN genealogy histories now puts Thomas as the son of Isaac Meredith(born 1782-1853) and Elizabeth and notes that Thomas settled there along with brothers Peter and Robert. If so, then Thomas was the only one born in VA and everyone else was born in OH. I am trying to sort out these Merediths. Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
