Meredith, 60, of 53 Shippensburg Mobile Estates, Shippensburg, will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg. He died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1938 in Shippensburg, he was the son of Kathryn J. Freidinger Meredith of Shippensburg and the late Chester Meredith. A retired truck driver, he worked for Schneider Transport, Green Bay, Wis. and was a U.S. Army veteran He was a member of Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 and Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223, both of Shippensburg. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Jack C. of Fayetteville and Troy L. of Chambersburg; two daughters, Tammy S. Howe of Gardners and Julia A. Meredith of Chambersburg; two sisters, Jill Solan of Silver Spring, Md. and Wanda Hockenberry of Shippensburg; a companion with whom he resided, Doris J. Lynch; and four grandchildren. The Rev. William J. Garling will officiate at services. Friends may call at the funeral home following the services on Thursday.
