I have no phone # for it but the York County, PA (in which York is city) Historical Society's phone # is 717-632-3207. York is a short--less than an hour--drive from Harrisburg, which is 100M west of Philadelphia, PA 2) Rosa May Meredith [my great Aunt] m Frederick Porter & had 2 daughters--all three are buried in Lot 41 at Prospect HIll. We believe she also had a son called Frederick Meredith Porter, but have not yet established this. 3) There is also a cemetery in York called Greenmount in which one of Rosa's aughter's husband is buried--not a Meredith. He was a suicide at age 65. His name was William Strickhouser. There are descendants of the Meredith/Porter marriage living in Atlanta. 4) My father, Charles David Meredith, was Aunt Rosa's younger brother--some of his other siblings (there were 8 altogether) are buried in Cedar HIll Cemetery in north Philadelphia. Phone 215-553-2969. Glad to help. Would welcome any info others may have.
