I'm seeking information on my 2nd gr-grandfather, Francis GIFFORD, who lived in Old Town between 1822 and 1877. So far I know, He was b. in Canada 1822, d. Old Town, 7 August 1877. His wife's name was Margaret ______; she d. in Old Town, 11 September 1869 Their son, John V. Gifford was b. Old Town, 13 September 1844. They also had a son, James, who was born in 1843, probably in Old Town This information came from family records and the 1850 Census. I am planning to pursue other records, but I thought I'd post this query also. If you have any information on this Gifford family, I would love to hear from you.
