    2. We're looking for a needle in a haystack, so will try all avenues. A search from an English woman involves a Maine soldier (Bob), stationed in England in WW II. His family had a sawmill/lumber yard, which his mother ran while he was overseas His last name started with "M" and "was pronounced" as one of the above. Not much to go on, but perhaps it will ring a bell with someone, who could connect the Maine family with the English people who remember Robert with affection.
