I am looking for the birth record of a John Bartlett, m Climena Lyons in 1821. I have birth date of Sept 9, 1803 but have two different listings for the town of his birth. One is Searsmont, Me and the other is Mt Vernon, Me. I have called both town offices and neither have records going back that far. Suggested that I check the archives in Augusta but am unable to get there. Was wondering if anyone might be close to Augusta or go there on occasion that might look this up for me. What I am looking for are the names of John's parents and thought they might be listed on his birth record.
