Hi, Forgive me if I missed something. I have never before heard of the Bangor Whig & Courier. I assume it is an old newspaper. When was it in operation and did it contain births, marriages and/or deaths? You might also want to check with the "microtext section" of the Boston Public Library (closer to North Easton) where old newspapers are on microfilm. They have quite an impressive collection of historical newspapers. See the Penobscot USGENWEB page for links to both sites at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mepenobs/mepenobs.htm Good luck Don Wright - Penobscot and Lincoln County Maine USGENWEB Coordinator At 04:59 PM 4/1/00 EST, H7140@aol.com wrote: >Hi everyone, > >Who would I contact for a copy of the following item from the Bangor Whig & >Courier? >Rebecca [Webster], m 8 Jul 1839 Isaac Webber (Bangor Whig & Courier, July 10, >1839) > >Gerry Hammond >North Easton, Mass. > > >============================== >Join the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: >Linking the world, one GEDCOM at a time. >http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ > > ============================== Free Web space.
