"K" ----- I think we've chatted before. Interesting you mention Bathurst NB. Peter Haggerty, my Ggf, et al ( Alexander Anderson, John Topham & Thomas, John, & William Armstrong) had a property grant at Alston Point, Bathurst, Gloucester Co, NB in 1828 for 598 acres. Sound familiar? Also, there are a number of books available thru Inter-Library Loan (ILL) concerning the Irish in NB Canada that you may find interesting. They name names, towns & Irish roots: "The Irish Lumber-Farmer" by Joseph A King; "New Ireland Remembered" by PM Toner; "Johnville: The Centenial Story of an Irish Settlement" by Wm P Kilfoil. Hang in there.
