    3. "K" ----- I think we've chatted before. Interesting you mention Bathurst NB. Peter Haggerty, my Ggf, et al ( Alexander Anderson, John Topham & Thomas, John, & William Armstrong) had a property grant at Alston Point, Bathurst, Gloucester Co, NB in 1828 for 598 acres. Sound familiar? Also, there are a number of books available thru Inter-Library Loan (ILL) concerning the Irish in NB Canada that you may find interesting. They name names, towns & Irish roots: "The Irish Lumber-Farmer" by Joseph A King; "New Ireland Remembered" by PM Toner; "Johnville: The Centenial Story of an Irish Settlement" by Wm P Kilfoil. 2. Judy Gillon
    3. Greetings, I just joined this list and am hoping to be able to get a little more information on my great aunt Elizabeth Lohnes and her husband Florian L. Morrill. Elizabeth died 11/5/1964 and is buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with her husband who died 2/5/1942. I don't know if they had any children. Would some kind soul be able to do a lookup in the local paper for an obituary for either of them? Or let me know what newspaper would have carried the obit. RAOGK and other lookup pages don't seem to include Bangor, unfortunately. Would anyone be researching the MORRILL family who may wish to swap information on Elizabeth's family? I'd love to hear from you. TIA Judy Gillon Norton, MA Norton for Genealogists http://www.webspawner.com/users/norton4gen/index.html Family Page http://judyg333.homestead.com/index.html

    1. [MEPENOBS-L] Patterson, Keiser, or Wilson
    2. Louise Wicker
    3. If you have any Wilson, Patterson or Keisers in your family, please see if the following could possibly fit your Maine family in anyway. - My gr-gr-grandmother, Harriet Patterson married Joseph Wilson of New Gloucester, ME in 1855. She carried into this marriage a daughter Elizabeth aged 3 years. Harriet Wilson died 1864, aged 35 years. Family history tells me that Harriet was a Keiser before her marriage to a Mr. Patterson. Mr. Patterson is said to have died in 1853. Harriet's first marriage and the birth of Elizabeth in 1852 are supposed to have taken place in Old Town ME. There is no Harriet Keiser in Leon Keiser's genealogy of that family. However a very old newspaper item says that Harriet was a Miss Patterson from Charleston, ME and orphaned early. It names 6 children born to Harriet and George Wilson. They are George, Luella, Mary, Lucy, Annie, and Arthur. It makes no mention of Elizabeth Patterson although she is listed in 1870 census as being in George Wilson family. Elizabeth Patterson married Edwin Baker. When she died in 1925, she was living in Portland, ME with a niece Elizabeth Thurbo. I hope someone can shed some light on Harriet Keiser, Harriet Patterson, or Harriet Wilson
