    1. [MEOXFORD] AN APPEAL TO WATERHOUSES'
    2. Bill Waterhouse
    3. Hi to all: I am researching my WATERHOUSE ancestry in ME, & in the course of this, I have come to realize that there are many, many WATERHOUSES' still residing in ME. I feel that some or many of these could be descended from from the same lines as I am. From my find- ings to date, I have found that most of these ancestors were born, married, raised their families, pursued their occupations & died in the Androscroggin, Cumberland, Oxford,Sagadahoc & York County areas. Most had large families, as was the norm in those times, which led to many offspring who had large families, & so on & so on, which leads me to believe there must be still be many descendants living in these areas. If anyone has done any research on their lineage, or are fam- iliar with their family tree, & who can identify with any of the names which follow, I would love to hear from you. My Grandfather was Charles E. Waterhouse: b. 1851 in Androscroggin Cty. He moved to CT as a young man where he married, raised a fam- ily of 5, practiced his trade as a barber & died in 1925. He had 5 siblings; Henry, William, George, John & Sarah, all born between 1834 & 1845. Charles E. parent's were Abner & Mary-[Robinson] Waterhouse. Abner is listed on the 1850 Census as a farmer living in Danville, ME. Abner's parents were Joseph & Lydia [Parker]-[Wescott} Waterhouse Joseph is buried in the Fitz Cemetery in Auburn ME. I will not go beyond this point with the lineage at this time, as I have quite a few facts; IE: birthplaces, dates of birth & death, marriage dates, etc. which I am still trying to correctly authenticate--record keeping back in those days was not what it is today. However, the names, etc. I have listed should be within the memory spans of many descendants still around. So, fellow WATERHOUSES in ME, or anywhere, if any of this "rings a bell" I would appreciate hearing from you, & we will go from there, & see where it takes us. Best regards & Thanks to all, BILL WATERHOUSE MYSTIC, CT wm.r.waterhouse@mymailstation.com FAX: 860-536-1486

Here is what she sent to the Otisfield Historical Society " I am trying to trace a family who owned a Timber/Lumber yard in Maine in the early 1940's. The Mother was running the Timber yard whilst the son - Robert (Bob) was here in England serving in the American Forces in WW11." 2. kevin and rika
    3. Trying to learn more about the family of Phebe Tucker, who married Aaron Severy. She was born 6 June 1781 in Hebron. She is the d/o Lemuel Tucker (s/o John), who is on the 1790 Census in Shepardsfield Plantation. A possible mother is Phebe Bucknam (18 March 1753) d/o Daniel and Phebe (Gould)of Sutton. Father and daughter both lived in Shepardsfield. A confused scenerio in the "Annals of Oxford, Maine" has her marrying 3x; to a Johnson, a Tucker , and a Seavey. I found "Phibe" Tucker marrying James Jonson 13 April, 1805 in Dixfield at the LDS site. Would anyone have anything on these families? Mahalo , Kevin
