I have no maiden name for L. I found them in the1860 US Census living in Buffalo Ward 1 in Erie Co. NY. A Son Moses or Mosie 29 b 1837 daugther matilda 17 born 1842 [ a big gap] and then my gr grandfather Joseph ,born 1844 in NY. all the others were born in Canada. I can not find the family in the 1870 census in NY but joung Joseph turns up in Salem, Columbiana Co. Ohio. I assume the rest of the family returned to Canada. I have not been able to look at any Canadian Census. My gr grfather was Indian. Emily Brothers
