Family was in NY for a few yrs, Matilda was b in 1842 in Canada. Joseph went to Salem Ohio. Served in Civil War. Married Ruhamah Bowers from Pekin, OH.. J's father also Joseph and his wife Matilda were born in 1813 in Canada. My gr grasnd father Josesp spoke French and said he was Indian. I am trying to find the tribe. I remember hearing my mother speak of Helen. I am trying find out more about Joseph and Louisa. Emily Brothers
