My wife is a decendant of the the Menard's your are looking for. Her Great Great Grandmother was Ossithee or as you have it Ozithe. Ozithe was born October 31, 1846 in Highgate, Franklin County, Vermont. She married Philip Beauvais (known as Bovat) on January 9, 1865 in Highgate. Ozithe/Ossithee died on Feb. 21, 1936 in Fairfield, Franklin County, Vermont. Her husband Philip was born January 21, 1844 in Chambly, Quebec and he died February 23, 1932 in Highgate, Vermont. Their daughter Celine Olive is my wife's Great Grandmother. I also noticed in one of your messages the last name Ostiguy. My wife has a cousin (Bovat/Menard decendant) who is married to an Ostiguy and they lived in Swanton till last year. They are now residing in St. Alban's. I can take you back to a Pierre Menard in the mid 1500's in France. I can take you back to about 1700 with the Ostiguy family thanks to Roger Ostiguy in Swanton/St. Albans.
