They were married in Menominee, Michigan in May of 1876 and both came from Quebec Canada. I do not know who Virginia married. There are several first names for Lusena, maybe Lena, Anna. I think they were younger than Narcisse. Do you know where & when these children of Narcisse & Mercelline Menard were born? Thanks.

Joseph and Louisa Menard both born in 1813 in Quebec. Their son, Joseph b. 1844 was my gr. grandfather. His parents moved in and out of Canada to NY and also Michigan. I do not know Louisa's maiden name. Since Narcisse was born in 1819 maybe he was a younger brother to Joseph b. 1813. He was Native American. It is possible that this was concealed from some of the family because of the attitudes of the times. Joseph 1813 worked as a ship's carpenter. Do you know Narcisse's trade? thanks, Emily Brothers

Narcisse married Marie Marcelline Ouimet 25 Jan 1842. We think we have at least 9 children for them all born in Canada before their move to WI. The Menard/Minor puzzle seems to be two separate families and not one changing their name. Have more supporting documentation on that possiblity.
