First of all Sully, thanks for your input to Memory lane almost daily, I appreciate you and I am sorry I so seldom write to the list anymore. I too miss Emma and Tess. We had a gal named Ellen, "Lil Ellen" who lived in Washington State and possibly had a home in Crossville, TN. Ellen had Cancer I think. Years ago I had planned on meeting her at a Restaurant in a Casino in Coeur 'd alene, Idaho and she cancelled. I never did get to meet her and I wonder what happened to her. Most of us knew Pat Houser who left in a huff over Emma, and a few others! She's been gone since '08. I know Sharon Kline writes when she can and is caring for her ill husband but I miss her almost daily musings. How about Belva from Florida? She used to write a lot of interesting stuff, what ever happened to her? Marge Bauer has probably passed away, she would be 99 now! Those are a few that I remember and Oh, one more, that nut job by the name of Maureen (not Maureen Reilly) who wrote often, I forget what really topped it off and Elaine had to do something drastic to get rid of her I believe. She was really crazy. Carol K in Michigan Oh, P.S. How do I get into the old photo's we used to post here? Anyone know how to do that anymore? Let me know OK? On the bottom of the this message and all ML's messages is a link http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mbousman1/memory.htm Just go to photos on the left. The site needs updating bad. I never learned how to use the web stuff when I had to switch to publisher. I still have many photos that need to be added, and pages that are off kilter from my attempt to use publisher :) I will do it tho, right now I'm praying to keep my computer alive until I get a new one and will have to deal with new stuff. Mine is overheating after a little time on. And no we didn't do anything about Maureen, she's probably still here as an unknown member. But I hope that we live in peace, the war was emotionally hard on all of us. Marge still thrives, I wished her a HB this year. I love it when old friends pop into my mail. This is the song I loved that reminded me of Emma, Emma was a major fan of the Gaither singers. A lot of our children will not handle obituaries very well. If it's important to you, talk to your local newspaper(s). I bet you can prepay and leave that info for your children or funeral home to handle. Our wonderful Wild Bill clearly had no obituary and I am thinking had no funeral, that his children arranged for cremation and then released the ashes over the land he loved. But that leaves siblings and other children hanging. So prepare. So far as I know Lil Ellen took real well to Ema and the mailing list created on yahoo for Ema. I believe Lil Ellen actually created the list so Ema could go there. Any other questions? I am not sure I can answer all of them, but I would try. I currently fear knowing why Alice is not posting. She also is one of our senior seniors. Elaine
The song that made me remember Emma is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=U6LdR0rbx54#! Elaine
I was shocked that Marge is still on this list and I have tried to apologize to her for listing her as "gone." I think of our Emma a lot and know she pissed off a lot of people including Valentine and I believe Emma was the real reason Val left. I think Wild Bill is the most missed by me and I was surprised that his children didn't bother to send any acknowledgement of a contribution I sent in his memory. I can't believe that Lil Ellen "took" to Ema! In fact I am shocked, I can only remember how crude Ema was and I was under the impression that Ellen was from a very refined source, like tea parties and such. Hmmmm, one must not judge a book by it's cover I guess. I would love to be a mouse in the corner of that mailing list that Ellen created for Ema. It's too bad that if Alice has passed that her family would not have went through her computer or that she would have left instructions to let the list know. I wonder what ever happened to her book that she was writing? She was writing a book wasn't she? I remember her son wrote a book, I bought it but never read it for some reason. I did go and visit all the pictures that Margy Bousman put up for all of us and it made me sad to see how many are no longer writing to the lists.
