Jeannie, I finally got over that darn virus that caused me to have to reschedule the surgery I was supposed to have on Feb 6th. There were two pre surgical heart tests that had to be postponed also. The earliest I can have those done is Mar 25th. Then I will have to have the chest x-ray and blood work done again because the previous ones are now outdated. It looks like early April before I will be able to have the surgery. I am not really looking forward to it since it is the right shoulder and I am right handed so I will probably have to go to an aftercare facility for a few days (or weeks), Heaven forbid. I will have to check with my insurance carrier to see what kind of homecare I might be entitled to. I doubt that I will be able to prepare my own meals and probably won't be able to drive until I start having physical therapy. I had to go through a lot of this four years ago when I had to have the same surgery on my left shoulder. At least, then, I could stay at home, fix my own meals, and drive myself to doctor visits and physical therapy. This ain't going to be fun but I am sure I will survive it. This is going to be a busy month, medical wise. I have four other appointments with medical things not related to the surgery. One of them is at 8:00 this morning so I had best get busy and fix some breakfast.
