I woke up at 5 and read till 7, when I knew it would be light enough to see to get to the paper box.....Well doggone if we didn't have snow on the Abelia hedge out front! I took my camera with me to get the paper, admiring the tufts of snow on the beautiful Flowering quince and Forsythia flowers.....The wind was already blowing the snow away, but I wanted to get pictures to commemorate the only snow we've had all season...Well, we did get a little skiff of snow on the grass one time....It was all melted by about 10 AM, but it was snowing pretty well when dark came tonight...Too warm for it to be much of a problem.... I don't think we're gonna have company for Easter...but will get half a ham anyway...Handy to keep in the fridge and whack on at times...May cut it off the bone and freeze it....I might color a few eggs and give to the neighbors..I used to use onion peels and such to dye the eggs, but guess I will use food colors...I like to bind ferns, etc. to the eggs and dye them that way....Not much fun if you don't have little kids to share with. Speaking of kids, the little kids down the street say they are moving...I asked Mason where they were moving today and he said India....Said that's where the white people sit in front of the bus and black ones sit in back.
