This morning there was a bird, I think it might be a finch, very small, and two tones of gray, dark and light, trying to get in through the glass of our siding glass door. Right in the corner outside the door, I have a big variegated Ficus Tree in a large pot, it has gotten so big and beautiful over the last two years. The little bird started by just sitting on a small limb, but than looked like he was looking in at the dinning room table, I had two plastic bags hanging on the end of one of the chairs, with some recycled plastic in them, there was a red name on the bag, I thought maybe that's what he saw and thought it was maybe a flower ??? I was afraid our two cats might see him and go after the little bird, so moved everything away from the window. I love to sit at the window and look into my garden, planned it that way when we put the new kitchen in, use to be just a door there, put in a large Wood sliding door, you can open it with just one finger, it glides so smoothly and has ten window panes on each side. I can go right out the doors, onto a wood step and than right into my patio area, and garden. This time of the year it so sweet, to see everything in bloom. We have about six hanging baskets my sister in law gave us, you have to put those coco mats in them, fill them with potting soil, than plant what ever strikes your fancy. This will be the first year for making theses flower baskets, so I am excited to start. I made one last year, put three different kinds of Ivy in the one we had, looks real nice hanging on to the side of my canopy rail. We like small plants the can hangout over the edge, and some small colorful annuals in the center at the top. It takes about six weeks for them to really get full and lushes, than I put them around the patio area, makes you want to sit out there all day. I am so into Spring this year, I just am so tired of winter, maybe it's I am of a age when I enjoy being outside more than inside !!!! They say rain on Easter Sunday, not my favorite, but Easter is earlier this year. All of you have a great Easter, even if it's just church and a quiet dinner !!! Sully, in Sunny California
