Good Lord, I sounded just like Paula Deen! Sheesh! Last week Ya'all were talking about chickens 'N I was too busy to put my two cents in, so I'm puttin them in now.... We've got chickens and I encourage everyone to get a few... watching chickens is therapeutic. They take very little of my time and give me the best eggs you ever wrapped a lip around... Sure nuff! Week before last, my bride spent in the hospital and having chickens was a pain in the behind for sure. Sherry was in a hospital in Austin and I was driving back and forth every day. I'd get up way before the crack of dawn, open the door to the coop and put out chicken feed and get home after dark, gather eggs by flashlight and close the door to the coop.. fall into bed and repeat the process the next day.... Sherry is fully recovered now and our life is back to normal. I suspect the chickens are glad too... lol Anyhow, we are lucky that we don't have close neighbors or neighbors dogs to worry about. Like I said, everyone should have a handful of chickens. The Dougster :-)**
