I remember paper dolls very well and I especially remember Betty Grable. One of my favorite movies was called The Diamond Horse shoe but I am not too sure of the title because I think I was on only 8 years old at the time. I kept my paper dolls in a big shoe box and always in order. Sometimes I also glued them onto a heavier backing. They were my pride and joy and I had them until I was in my teens. Then one spring mom decided I was too old for them and they had to go. I gave them to a younger cousin. I was so upset when I went to her house and they were just scattered everywhere. My mother was not a collector! Thinking of the sets I had brings up a name no one in the younger generations would even know - Betty Grable.
