    3. We too had over and inch of rain last night and wish to thank whomever is responsible. Of course today, we have gale force winds, which will dry out the soil.. <sigh> I also wish only the best for you Robert. I also had shoulder surgery a few years ago. The surgeon also said my shoulder would never e the same but he was wrong. As far as I am concerned, the shoulder is quite normal. I would not want to go thru that again, but would if I had too. I am much like you Shirley. Lay awake at night and wonder about the future after Sherry is gone. I hate the thought of it but would probably stay here at the ranch. I can't imagine the loneliness but also can't imagine living anywhere else. For the past few months I have not gone out and done what needs doing. I suppose that after losing Sherry I'll play catch-up. Without question, it won't be the same.... <megasigh> Yesterday I had a new hunter pay a visit. He brought his entire family out to do just whatever. Such a nice man and such a beautiful family. A nice wife and two beautiful young girls. I look forward to having them visit the ranch. Still ne news about the fellow that shot and killed his wife. I suspect he won't be coming back. I pray that his remaining family will fond peace. Such an incredible tragedy. Be well my friends. Be happy. 3. Doug, I think Marilyn is the person to thank for the rain, she was offering just yesterday. But I didn’t take her up on it, we have enough. Golden years, Shirley? Ha! I thought for sure we were going to be different from everyone else. Not so much. Do any of you eat steel cut oats? How do you make them ... I’ve made them and haven’t appreciated them, but would like to try again, just because I’m stubborn. Connie We too had over and inch of rain last night and wish to thank whomever is responsible. 3. Doug and Annette, Sorry Doug, she also asked for rain so I will be asking for some to go to her area in central Florida. We are supposed to be having more rain this week so that might have been part of our rain you got last night. Then again maybe more coming later in the week. I want to get some early yard work done and the ground needs to dry out some for me to be able to start on that. I may even try to move some of daffodil bulbs as I have read some have been able to move them even while green. I need to start some seeds but that I can do inside before the last of our cold weather arrives. It was wonderful outside today and I am guessing we in the low 70's this afternoon. I sat out for a little while and watched squirrels and birds, there were two robins walking down the street as if they humans.
