The optimal viewing dates are rapidly approaching for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. go to http://www.spaceweather.com for photos (some are better than others), and sky maps.You will be looking West just after sunset (weather permitting). The comet should be visible to the naked eye and close to the crescent moon on the evening of March 12th. Should be a lovely sight for any of you who have clear skies on these dates: 3/12, 3/13, 3/16, 3/17. On the first two dates the comet will be to the left side of the setting sun. It will be on the right side on the next two dates. It will be too close to the sun on 3/14 and 3/15 and will not be visible. Robert E Paty, Scottsdale, AZ aka Mad Hatter
