Got up this morning at 4 AM, took our granddaughter to the airport to catch a flight to Arizona, now I feel tired, but not sleepy enough to go back to bed. Our granddaughter Brooke is going to a Irish Song Festival, on Sunday and will come home Monday. We were laying in bed the other night talking about this and that, when my husband asked me "have you seen those blue flowers on the hill, by the fig tree"??? I say no, I didn't know there were any flowers on that side of the hill, so the next morning I went out and looked. There are six beautiful blue Lupine, we didn't plant them, there what I always call a free-be. How ever they got there, they are beautiful, long stocks about 8 inches long with beautiful blue buds all the way up. Also my bridal wreath is blooming, I cut it back last year, I really butchered it, I thought it would take two years for it to bloom , but here it is covered in beautiful white flowers and smell heavenly too. Most of our fruit trees are in bloom, they don't have many leaves yet, but lots of blossoms, Peach, Nectarine, Plum, Apricot, and the Avocado is starting to bloom too, there are still over two hundred avocado's on the tree, I was hoping we could cut it back a little before it bloomed again, but I guess not. I have a large arch arbor going up to the second level of my garden and over to the Pagoda, it has all these little tiny yellow rose blossoms on it, it is covered and looks so beautiful, they are everywhere, in fact a few of the big long canes with blossoms are growing up in my lemon tree. It happened last year too, I got out there early this year and tried to cut back any branches that were headed towards the Lemon tree, but I must have missed a few, because there's all these tiny yellow roses up in the tree. I need to get our income tax stuff together, so my husband can go to our tax man, only than can I begin a real effort in my garden. I was looking out in our yard and thinking I might enlarge my garden this year, there's a area that has this ground cover, I could clear that out and grow some flowers in there, but it will be hard work, as I will have to get the roots, that means digging, and than going through the soil with my hands to get all the little roots, I am wondering if it will be worth it???? Oh my aching back !!!! My first son's birthday is tomorrow, I was going to have him over for Corned beef & cabbage dinner on Sunday, but he called yesterday and said he was going up to his sisters yesterday and was staying till Saturday, and could I have his birthday dinner on Saturday ( I always make a birthday dinner for my adult children for their Birthday, I will make their favorite dinners, or they can ask for what ever dinner they want) So we are having Filet steaks, twice baked potatoes, fresh asparagus, a cucumber and tomato salad, home made buttermilk biscuits and I will be baking a cake today. So I am going to be a busy, tidying up the house, and baking. I better get started, have a good one, Sully in Sunny California
