When we bought our cabin 25 years ago, it came fully furnished (worn out furniture and I didn't like most of it, very shabby and stained) but they had left lots of bedding, I found 2 really nice Chenille bedspreads, I brought them home and washed them, they were in my linen closet, but they have disappeared, I think my daughter has confiscated them. Now I am more into a beautiful comforter, with a bed ruffle, and shams to match, I have a canopy bed, so we made a canopy to match the comforter. I also put one of those really soft blankets over my bedspread, because we have pets, and every time I get the comforter cleaned it costs a bundle. I have had this comforter for about seven years and it still looks new, it the first comforter I haven't got tired of in years. I use to change my bedspread in the spring, and than a heavier bedspread or comforter in the Fall. But this Comforter set is so lovely, I just never find the need to change it to something else. Don't you just love it when you find the perfect thing, that's the way it is with my home too, oh I have seen other houses I've liked, but never to the point that I thought seriously about moving. I had a dream a while back, I lived somewhere else, and went by my old home (the one I live in now) and thought to my self, "Why did I sell my home, I loved it", I was so sad at the thought of other people living there and I couldn't go home again. We have lived here Fifty two years, so many memories, had my last to children living in this home, really good years. Although the yard is getting to much for us, I just might give the house to my granddaughter, if I have anything to say. She spent her first five years in this house, and she loves it too. That's why when she deiced to go to college, she came down here, where she's ten minutes away. When I knew she was coming down here to college, I painted her old room, and decorated it in a kind of beach theme, Sea Shell pattern on her comforter, and a high shelf with all kind of things that remind her of the ocean, and beach. She is coming over this weekend, and we're going to do some baking, maybe a nice Meatloaf, and a Pineapple upside down cake. Have a good one, Sully in Sunny California
