WOW, Pat McKinley, you sure one busy lady! I wish I had half your energy. Having been raised in the city I don't know about chickens and animals either. I have gardened in my day having a big yard and still manage to do some flower gardening but it's getting rougher as I age. Sorry about losing your husband so recently, it's been 7 years for me and still not easy. Love hearing about our friends lives out there. I have an incubator that is hatching right now, a little banty hen will hatch next week. I have several different kinds, silkys, polish, auracona (easter egg) cinnamon something and some bantys. I subbed on Dr. Suess birthday in preschool we made green eggs with food coloring and ham with some of the green eggs. The next day I took some of the chicks that had just hatched, they loved it. One little boy said those eggs tasted just like yellow eggs. This is a small rural area 4 or 5 hundred people in town maybe 1600 in the county so everyone knows everyone. I taught 5th grade for 27 years and had several of their parents as students. It gets harder to sub the kids just aren't the same, but neither am I. It all keeps me getting up and moving around, I love being out and seeing, hearing and smelling the out of doors. It has really been dry, next to no grass have gotten alittle rain but need a bunch more. We may get some rain or snow, probably not much but every little bit helps. As soon as it warms up I want to get my garden in and then hope for more rain. Pat On Fri, Mar 22, 2013 at 10:48 AM, CAROL KUNZ <[email protected]> wrote: > WOW, Pat McKinley, you sure one busy lady!
