Did any of you ever have milk delivered to your house ?? When I was a child, both my grandmother and our home too, had a milkman. I remember the milk bottles, they had a small area at the top, that held the cream, my mother would shake the bottle, so the milk was than whole milk. My grandmother liked the cream in her coffee, my mother didn't, after shaking the bottle of milk, she than used it for her coffee. After I married my husband, the milk man his parents used delivered milk to our house, he was given a key to the back door, he put the milk, cottage cheese, butter, right in the refrigerator for us, we both worked, we weren't usually home when he delivered. I can't remember who set that up, to give him a key to our home, I would never do that in today's world that's for sure. I have a whole set of Aluminum colorful glasses, that use to have cottage cheese in them, they were also delivered by the milkman. When we moved to our new home, (where we still live) we had a milkman for a few years, but I haven't seen a milkman for years, delivering milk to any of the homes in our neighborhood !!! The closest thing to a milk man around here, is a small dairy store, it's like a drive through, they do sell other things too. When my granddaughter was a baby, I some times would go there for bread & milk, the cost was a little more, but I didn't have to get out of the car, it was worth it not to get my granddaughter out of her car seat, and than back in, I remember my back use to hurt, after having to get her in and out several times a day. They said last week, maybe a little rain this Wednesday, but not now, no rain in the next week , but do have lots of wind (not windy here yet). We are under a wild fire watch, until all this wind stops. We finished taking down all the Christmas decorations yesterday, you wouldn't know that a few weeks ago, we celebrated Christmas. The living room looks bare now, I need to find something to make it look pretty !! Maybe go to "Michael's" find a nice flower arrangement, or something colorful. We have a blood test, and two doctor appointments, in the next two weeks. I hate doctors, they never give us any good new's at our age, if I am doing good, than my husband is not doing good, the he's doing good, and I am not !!! Sully, in Sunny California.
