    3. Sully, I can’t believe it. We are looking forward to daytime high temps in the 20s and overnight lows in the single digits. And this is for Georgia. I really feel for all those in the northern states looking at daytime highs in the teens – below zero! Tomorrow’s game at Green Bay is predicted to take place in temps no higher than 0, with wind chills as much as 15 below! Just about our whole country is in the very deep freeze. And you are talking of getting this urge to go out and do some gardening!!! California, the very southern region of Texas, and the southern portion of Florida are about the only places that will not be affected by this arctic freeze! Sully, you just don’t know what you are missing! Enjoy those little hummingbirds and butterflies and little yellow roses and flowers in bloom just a little bit more for those of us who would love it if we could do so also!! It's bright out side, thinking of maybe doing a little yard work, but than maybe not, I have plenty to do inside here. Went to Kohl's yesterday morning, with my Kohl's money, bought two set of Queen sheets. They are 800 count, a Ivory color,I think I will be very happy with them. When I put them in the washing machine a few minutes ago, they are heavy and yet very soft. I am washing both sets, can't wait to put them on our bed, new sheets, yea !!!! I bought a set of sheets on line early last year, they said they were 1000 count, but they weren't, way to thin, and didn't laundry good. Going to take that set up to the cabin later this year, they will do good up there. All my older sheets, and towels go up to the cabin, I am always thinking if something happens to them, than it will be no loss to me, or at least very little. I went to the web cam up in the little town were our cabin is, and there's no snow up there right now, but they are saying maybe later this week, might get some rain here, and snow up at the cabin. We need rain, every one envies our sun and heat, but there is the other side, drought, and that means a water shortage this summer. I told my husband we need I to start buying mulch, if we have another drought this summer, we will need lots of mulch to keep the water from evaporating from around our plants, because we won't be allowed to water very much !!! I keep telling my husband we need to get rid of the grass in our back yard, plant vegetables instead, kill two birds with one stone, no lawn to mow, and vegetables for the table !!! We planted a new Lemon tree, right in back of our old Lemon tree. A while back we noticed our Lemon tree wasn't doing very good, a tree limb looked like it was dead, we sawed it off, it did good for awhile, now another limb is looking bad, the tree is maybe 25/30 years old, we found a new tree at out local Farmers market a 25 gal, same kind, Eureka Lemon tree, so we bought it, planted it and it's got several Lemons on it now, so when this one goes, we will still have lots of Lemons. I keep getting this urge to go out and work in the garden, but it needs to rest a little from the summer heat, don't like to get out there and prune, and get all the leaves off the ground, I think the ground befits from all the leaves and coolness. I have had to water some, our Avocado tree is blooming again, I think all this heat has made the Avocado tree think it's spring, I hope if it blooms, a big hard rain or hail doesn't come along and knock all the blossoms off. We also have some plants that flowered, lots of Hummingbirds and a few butterflies too. It does look pretty out there, we also have these tiny yellow roses on the arbor, and they started blooming last week, I couldn't believe it, they don't usually bloom till May or June, this heat has every plant out there thinking it's SPRING !!! Making some Chicken and dumplings for dinner, and with what's left will make some Chicken salad. Have a good DAY where ever you are and what ever you do !!!
