I could go on and one with the details but will try and keep this short and sweet. Last Saturday I had a sore throat and my face and neck swelled up like a balloon, was told I had swollen glands so made an appointment with my family doctor and was told that I had the mumps. Yes this 77 year old lady has the mumps. I am on medications and feel as if I had had been run over by a truck and yes Bob and I did have the Flu shot last October. Bob is on his way to Illinois because his 92 year old Mother has Pneumonia. He said the traffic in Atlanta was unbelievable, took him two hours to get through that city. His sister called and said that Illinois is getting snow today and it is expected to really pile up as the day goes on. For now I am glad I have the Mumps and have to stay in Florida. Annette.
I guess you never had the mumps when you were a kid. Do you know that you had been around any one with the mumps. I feel bad for you. Just a sore throat gets me down. How long will this go on do you know? Hope you feel better. Hope Bobs mother is better. Is she in the hospital. There are sure alot of them around here. Older people it seems to go to their lungs and I guess even some of the younger people. Good luck.
