    3. Moment? Well folks, I had one last night. Ever since Sherry's passing, I have had to do little things around the house and most of them, while a pain in the butt, have been manageble, awkward but manageble. (notice I can't find the spell checker?) ... anyhow, using a vacumn cleaner while on my scooter is a challenge but is possible, awkward, but it can be done. Gaining access to our washer and dryer, which is a a lower level from the rest of the house, is again, a challenge, but can be done. I have discovered that the real challenge is changing the bed sheets is a MAJOR challenge. Imagine of you can, a one-legged fat man, using a cane, getting a fitted sheet on a bed that seems to be too small. I seem to always get the sheet on bass-ackwards. I seem to get the sheet on sideways and the have to take it off and start over. Ever done that? LOL Anyhow, after fighting that battle yesterday, I have been trying the figure out a better way to do it. Most of my life I've had to do things differently. There is almost always a way to do things differently.. I suspect Walter is going through that now. Anyhow, my "AHA" moment came to me after I went to bed last night. Can't believe it took me so long to have this thought. Hire a lady to come in and do these things for me! I can afford it, so why not? I have often said, I have never claimed to be smart and certainly no one has ever accused me of it. Sheesh! Otherwise, things have been going well for me. Yesterday was incredibly beautiful, I had to chase a cow and calf out of the yard but that wasn't so bad. Worked on my diesel pump and filled the tractor and re-worked a gate that didn't have the proper swing. I HATE gates that drag the ground. Doesn't that sound like an exciting day? lol The Dougster.. :-)*

    3. Wow some how I missed this post Doug. Hire a lady is just what I was thinking all along there. I think there are alot of people that would like to make a little money on the side. I used to clean house for an older couple. It wasn''t hard as she was in a hosp. bed in the living room so all that was taken care of. It was change the sheets on his bed, clean the bath room, wash the sheets. Clean up the kitchen and mop the floor and vacume, dust, those things that just go with that. One old lady and man I cleaned for she was so funny she would be sitting on the couch when I got there, with her purse right by her side. He would be in a chair by the garage, hardly ever spoke, she would watch tv. I cleaned her bedroom, vacume dust and all that stuff and wipe down the cabinets in the kitchen once a mo. The daughter did the other things for them. I didn't go in his bed room. I think that is where they kept all the loot. It was just funny some times. Another lady, had back problems, she had a big ranch house, and she knew how to clean house. If I vacumed to fast she would let me know. For a while the husband was in the living room part of the time. But he was sick had cancer and eventually died. They built another home out back for mama then and I helped her move in there. She had worked with I think girl scouts when her daughter was in it and she also sewed alot. She had this one room that had a huge sewing table for cutting out material. It was high so you didn't break your back doing it. They grew rice and all that kind of stuff and there is even a memorial at the river for him. It is funny the different kinds of people you can meet doing something like that. I didn't do it every day, just made a little play money for me. So you shouldn't have a hard time finding someone. good luck.
