    3. Well I hope your chickens survived the night. Bet they come home after being out all night with it so cold and probably getting scared to death. Things about the same here. cold at nght, 70's in the day. Our son and his wife, he will be 61 on the 31st so they are leaving after he gets off work on Friday and going to the coast at Fort Bragg for the week end. Not taking the trailer this time as just a couple of nights. Then I hear on the weather that there may be rain on the week end, but they both like to walk and unless it is really bad they just walk the beach any way. Like to look for whales, but probably to early for that. Might be some heading north such a strange year any way. Next Thurs. the 30th , Ken has to have a heart cath done. I hope they find something they can stent as I know he doesn't want to do the open heart thing again at 84. He is so tired, and just doesnt' feel good. Some of the meds for the heart pain causes headaches. so kind of stop one thing and have another. As always have to be there at 7 in the morn. just not used to getting up early any more. but think we will survive. At least he doesn't eat so don't have to figure in that time. Hopefully I can park close if not will have to drop him off and park then walk back. The kids all think they need to be there, but don't really, close enough to be there if needed. Except for Pat farther away, so don't think I am going to keep her away from her daddy. Hope you have all the things taken care of that need to be done after death. Life is never the same after that, but you had her for a while and that is something to be thankful for having her in your life and you were able to be there in the bad days to have someone by her side. Well need to get busy. Kids will be here tomorrow so need to get some dusting done, and vacume and mop the kitchen floor. Hate that, it really bothers my back besides the vacuming. Oh well life goes on. Take care Doug. 3. Hello Louise, Yep, just went outside and my chickens are back home... don't know where they spent the night but for now, they are safe. We don't get snow very often. The last snow we had was several years ago on Easter Sunday. Sherry and I hadn't been married very long. This snow brings back both fond and unpleasant memories. It will be a VERY long time before my life settles down again. I have taken care of all the paperwork and now ned to start getting rid of all of her clothes. Just can't bring myself to start that job. Hopefully Ken's procedure will go well and he can get back home. I can only imagine how difficult life is for both of you. Take care and keep in touch. :-)** On Fri, Jan 24, 2014 at 12:49 PM, Louise Valine <antique1931@saber.net>wrote: > Well I hope your chickens survived the night. 3. I am so glad the chickens have made it. Guess they were smarter than we thought or it was just to cold for the varmits to be out. Have you thought about talking to her daughters and see if they may want to do it? We all need time in these things. I know when my mom passed away she had been staying at my brothers house since I was working and they lived in town. Her heart was very bad and she just went over night. When I went to the house that morning my sis in law was saying what do you want me to do with this and that. It was just to soon. I took her purse home with me, but to soon to make decisions. We go through alot of different stages of grieving I think. Some times easier to handle things than other times. Just take it as you are ready for all this. To soon and you are apt to make decisions you would regret later. Wish I had kept that thing. I am sure the medical thing with Ken will go just fine. I always look on the positive side of things. Even I know there are things I deal with them as they come up, but just figure it will be ok. But will be glad when it is over with. Hope he can get off some of the medecine that is causing all the headaches. . These first 3 mo. of this year are kind of hard. Taxes due, car has to be smogged before I can get the lisence. Thank god it is only every other year for the smog thing. I am sure it will pass. Then the lisence and that is over 100 dollars. They just get you coming and going here in Ca it seems like. Take care of your self Doug. 3. If getting rid of the clothes is hard for you, and you don't need the room, wait awhile. Don't force it. When the time is right and you are ready to deal with it, you will know. Jerrian
