    3. Helen, I sure am glad I don't have that problem and wish you didn't either. When I was growing up in Arkansas, I was too young to be shoveling snow. This was during the depression and not too many people had any money to pay for that kind of thing. That notwithstanding, I probably wouldn't have done it anyhow. Not that I was lazy, I just didn't like to be out in cold weather. Didn't like it when I was a kid and still don't like it. I remember that Mother would dress us up in snow suits and send us out to play when there was snow on the ground. I was good for maybe five minutes then it was back inside where it was warm. The temperature here seldom gets to freezing...maybe two or three nights during December to January. I don't like to be outside if the temperature is below 50 degrees. I am not built for cold weather. Robert E. 3. Somehow I don't have any memories of shoveling snow. I have one sister who is about two years than I am and she didn't shovel snow either. We had rather a long driveway and I think my dad just drove through it once on the way to work. He was a milk man and probably parked in the middle of the street while he went up to the houses and back. I do remember our street got plowed with a road grader--no big plows like we have now. I have to get some pictures out that we took as "pin up" pictures to send to all the guys we wrote to around the world in WW2. I can't believe we got our two piece suits on and posed in the snow. Youth--long gone. Sure wish I still had the body to do something that silly.
