Sully I agree. It was sad when Matthew Crawley died and how he died but the writers didn't have much choice. The actor who portrayed him wanted out of the show so he could be a star on Broadway (it was his dream). So in order for the actor to have no way of returning, they killed off the character. My birthday is coming up and that's what I am going to ask for the 4th season of Downton Abbey. I didn't much like it when Mary's husband was killed off at the end of season 3, Why must something bad always happen, when it seems Mary was finely happy. I don't know why Happiness doesn't last longer, they think something bad is always more interesting. I know the man who played Mary's husband, wanted out, but they could have done things different. I look forward to Sunday evenings Downton Abbey, even though I am not always pleased with the way things are GOING !!!!. Sully in rainy California.
