    3. winter ever end????? On Friday we had near 80-degrees... on Sat. the temps were well into the 80's... Yesterday morning, about 5 o'clock, I went out for a morning smoke. It was about 65... 30 minutes later, we had gale force winds out of the North and the temps were falling. I drove into Lampasas as I often do for a plate of Migas and the temps were down to 36. By mid-afternoon, the temps had fallen down to 23 and that's where it stayed. This morning we saw 15. Can anyone tell that I'm thrilled? A little over a week ago, I planted tomato seeds. On Friday I drove to Austin to take Da Warden, my ex wife, to Costco so that we could both become members. She sent me home with two tomato plants that she had potted up for me. It seems that I spend all my time moving tomato plants indoors due to the weather. Folks, this is Texas in March. We're supposed to be doing our gardens. <supermegasigh> The Dougster <~~~~~ who ain't happy

    3. Doug, I feel your pain. We were in the 70s yesterday and for the weekend. Tonight we are under a freeze warning. We have been see-sawing back and forth most of this winter. But, every time I go to grumble, I think of those in the north central part of the country, in the Midwest, and in New England, to say nothing of the Pacific northwest, and of what they have had to endure this past winter, and I feel ashamed of myself. I know they are used to the cold and winds, etc., but for them as well as for us all, this is just simply the winter that won’t quit! It simply refuses to give up. If I had to pick a season to be stuck in, it most certainly would NOT be winter. My heart really does go out to you all.
