I am lucky that I live right next door to where we raised our family and that my son lives there now. We had almost 50 years of family memories there and I agree with you. Houses do have a "feeling" about them--I am happy where I live now and my sons have lots of memories from helping their dad build the house, and where he lived until he passed away. I had some wonderful news last night--my grand daughter in law is expecting a baby!! I went to bed smiling. They are the only chance to keep the family name going from this line. I really only pray for a healthy baby--but a boy would be nice. I was teasing her about a baby gift and she only wants me to knit a blanket that she could use for any children they have. In the background Doug was saying--the first one isn't here yet, stop planning for more. They are happy too and that means a lot in a pregnancy. Snowy-again, Chicago land.
