Potatoes can take cold weather and some frost..other eyes will sprout if all the new plants get frosted...We have 'volunteer' potatoes that sprout up every year, here and there where we didn't dig all of them..Mostly Fingerling style... A friend told me today she saw Shallot bulbs where they sold onion sets..about 2.59 per pound. I told hr to get me pound but I bet they'll all be gone..You could use them to cook with just like the expensive shallots one buys.
