I also agree-houses do give off good and bad vibes. New houses do not have that warm, cozy, loving feeling that an old house has(for me). We have lived in 14 homes over a 55 year period and some had the best warm and happy vibe and others not so much! I have to be in a warm and happy home to be my best! Two of the homes were especially welcoming and everyone who visited said the same thing about the homes. My grandparents home(where my Mom and my baby sister still live)has housed my relatives for 93 years and although all updated etc. it is still just the warmest and happiest house I have ever been in-not sure if it is the house, people in it or memories but it is a place you feel comfort and love at all times. We had almost 50 years of family memories there and I agree with you. Houses do have a "feeling" about them--I am happy where I live now and my sons have lots of memories from helping their dad build the house, and where he lived until he passed away. I had some wonderful news last night--my grand daughter in law is expecting a baby!! I went to bed smiling. They are the only chance to keep the family name going from this line. I really only pray for a healthy baby--but a boy would be nice. I was teasing her about a baby gift and she only wants me to knit a blanket that she could use for any children they have. In the background Doug was saying--the first one isn't here yet, stop planning for more. They are happy too and that means a lot in a pregnancy. Snowy-again, Chicago land. Grace, that is good news and that can pick anybody up, almost. We are having a girl in July and ordered the crib and mattress on Monday. The mattress was half price so we ordered the crib along with it. Can't wait.
