Written word that a friend of ours has passed and with that ends all of our chances to communicate with her solely on the basis of what we write, how we write it and how each writing plays a part in the entire collective. We no longer will have a chance to explore a simple comment, see the rebuttal or learn from a person distant from our own venue. The collective is a gift. Many have read the words when they were first posted and many more in the future will see and learn from her advice and offerings. Few of us have such written memories to refer to, to read with new insight and as time continues, we will be able to read and see again, why Bud was received well by the groups she belonged to. As a proponent of written, candid recollections, I noticed in my review of the archive that very often Bud participated on-line in telling of her recollects to the subject of the day. No matter how much research we do, this personal, off the cuff commentary will never be found in libraries or data bases for those that predate the internet..... She gave us a chance to listen and learn. I always appreciated her casualness and ability to say what she was thinking.
