    3. You think you are safe if you get rid of assests before putting someone in a nursing home. Wrong, our lawyer told us that they go back 5 years. I didn't ask him what happens if you use some of your assests two to three years before putting someone in a nursing home. A friend of ours who husband died last year in a nursing home almost went nuts getting all the info the nursing home wanted. The nursing home told her that they wanted to release him, even though he was getting dialysis treatment. This was the only nursing home who had this machine. I called our county office to see what she can do. They told me that they would not be allowed to release him. A step niece of M.'s spent 4 years in a nursing home and paid nothing. This person, when she saw you, would come up to you and tell you all of her problems. She is a lazy SOB who never held a job. tipperboo12@msn.com

    3. Are you saying the Nursing home has the right to hold people against their and their family wishes??? That is totally against the law in MN. The last time i was in the home the doc said i would be there for the rest of my life because my home was not safe for me. Do you know why my home was not safe for me? Because i do not have a doctor or nurse in it!! Believe that one!! Any way we have what that call Care Programs in the home every three weeks if i remember right, where Therapists,Dietetican, Nutrition, nursing, Breathilizer or breathing test, plus the home doctor. My girls and Allen was there as well. My oldest daughter kinda got dirty looks from her two sisters when she told the doc that my mom said she was coming home whether any one here likes it or not. She said she would crawl out if no other way out. Yes i told my girls that but they were not supposed to squeal on me!!! But any way every one there said i could go home except the doctor. So he lost out and i went home but i had to keep him for a couple of mouths because my doctor retired at 71 yrs of age. But he still worked at the clinic at Any Time Doctor, no appointment needed. But every state should have The Elderly Care Program where if you have a capable care person in your home you can live at home. If i did not have some one with me i would be in the home now because i have my walker but am only allowed to walk from my bedroom to my kitchen door back to my living room once and my heart race goes up to 123 and takes about 15 to 20 minutes to go down now. But i walk it more then once a day. Viola.
