    3. Well, yesterday it was 94 degrees, by ten o'clock in the morning it's almost to hot to do any yard work. I bought three different kinds of mint, going to plant them all in the same pot, close to the outside edge, hoping they hang over the outside of the pot, I think that looks pretty. For the last three years I have been planting plants, Ivy, Impatiens, any small cheap plant I find in a six packs, around the bottom of some of the bigger plants, like tree roses, and other flowering shrubs, I have in large planters around the patio. It really helps in the summer months, to keep the larger plants from drying out during hot days, so I don't have to water them everyday. They also look much more pleasing to the eye, I have been trying to go out early in the morning,[ 7:00 is early for me] and plant while it is still cool. My husband on the other hand is planting vegetables, of all kinds, even though he knows some do not grow very good [for some unforeseen reason], but it keeps him busy and he enjoys playing Johnny Appleseed. The sisters in law are doing good, Barbara the sister in law, they wanted to send to a hospice and die, is doing so good. She has gained all the weight she lost last year and has put on a few extra pounds too. They just bought their first computer, and are busy learning how to use it, but when I was there last week, I also think they are a little afraid of it too. I tried to tell them, use it, better to get stuck on some site, than letting it sit there looking brand new. The oldest sister in law Barbara, turned 86 a month ago, she is also some what of a perfectionist, asked me to find her a cover for the monitor, I looked on line and they don't have any around here, at least not for the the thin, 21 inch. The younger sister in law looks a little thin, and tired, but she wanted to go back to their condo, and so all the work lands on her. They did get a gal who comes in and cleans, does grocery shopping for them, cooks some, and is a all around helper for them, what ever they want done. That's a big help to Marlene, they seem to be doing as best that can be expected, for a 87 year old and a 80 year old. I am getting a little stronger, have a little more energy every day, and am looking forward to going up to the cabin this year. We are thinking of getting a Murphy bed for the living room, I hate the couch that's makes into a bed, I hurt something every time I sleep on it. All the bed rooms are up stairs, where the good beds are, but the bathroom is down stairs, and coming down those stairs in the middle of the night, is down right dangerous for me, half a sleep, and needing to hurry as fast as I can. I am hoping we can spend a great deal of time at the cabin this year, as for last year we only went up twice the whole year, never spent the night, just went up to check on the cabin, to make sure everything was all right. I know I don't write much, but I do try and read every Memory Lane that comes out, not being very active, don't have a lot to write about. Sully, in Sunny and hot Southern California.
