Oddly enough, I used to just mash these devil bugs between two fingers and never got a single blister...have had blisters from them , though...Only bug or spider I ever had affect me from this easy bug disposal method was a bug that looked like a boll weevil...Had kind of a snout. When I mashed it I immediately felt pain in my fingers like it used to feel when the dentist injected pain killing solution into my gum..To me it's like being injected with concrete, but the 'concrete' is PAIN! Never did find out about that one, but the pain went away and no fingers fell off, so I still mash bugs if I can't get my hand on something to swat them with.
