Jeanie how gorgeous and wonderful. I hate it that my cousin lied to me and let the original homestead grow into complete and total destruction. After spending a wad of money(mine) and unable to get any form of control. I gave up. Grandmother had true English flower bed ,completely surrounding the house which sat on a full acre for the house yard. About three foot deep and everything grew for her plus she usually got the latest fad variety. How she managed it with the gardens and the housework and her projects , I simply don't know. The days were mot longer them nor more in a year but she managed to get the work of three persons done. I too am holding my breath, I have huge beds of Lilies and am afraid the temptrates got too low for the depth of the cover. Oh well, I have to let them go sometime and I can no longer do the work.
