Teachers and aides earn a very decent paycheck here in this area-they have good benefits and I think many of them earn every cent of it--but then there are some that are not so good-like a male teacher that got into a verbal argument with a fourteen year old boy in his class-the teacher actually punched and choked the child! Not that the boy, perhaps , did not egg him on but self control is a high priority in that line of work! I think it depends on where the schools are located as to what they offer in their packages for teachers, along with the degrees of education the teachers hold. I have a g.niece in Raleigh, N.C who had her masters degree(guidance teacher) but works as a "Nanny" because it pays better than teaching job there! The medical field is where they make the money-nurses really get a hefty hourly rate around here! Helen
