Oh yes, I immediately prayed her safe...they are still getting aftershocks from that big one last year....We must all pray her safe.....her life will never be the same...That town looks like a total loss, when you factor in previous earthquake damage, aftershocks, etc...Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Tue, 22 Feb 2011 07:36:12 -0800 (PST) annette tucker <annelovespugs@yahoo.com> writes: > > A little while ago I turned on the news and heard of the Earthquake > in New Zealand and immediately thought of Helen McNamara who lives > in Christchurch, New Zealand and hope that she and her family are > fine. I have several good friends in Christchurch and the general area and have been talking to them online-terrible -one young woman has been married only a couple of months but has children from previous marriage and she just held her breath until the children came home and then had to wait for her husband to get home-now she said they are not getting out of her sight! They had considerable damage but things can be fixed-but the streets etc and the city is such a mess-looks like a war zone! My prayers to all in the world suffering from the terrible things going on---what is going on with all the earthquakes, floods, frigid temps, etc? Mother nature is warning us to be kind to Mother Earth! People in this area that lost a daughter to the earthquake in Haiti have gone there to build an orphanage in her memory--they plan to be gone for several years. They said there is no way to describe the horror and way people live there----unbelievable! I guess some aftershocks are nearly as bad as the quake itself! Helen
