Are these stinkbugs or crickets ? Crickets are the usual noise makers...Have NEVER heard of a stink bug making noises....The ones I have seen are soft bodied, usually a pretty color of green, shaped like a shield...maybe a half inch long. I can just see crickets getting inside to stay warm...They're dark, blackish looking...kinda like a grasshopper. Make a chirping noise, which is considered good luck in Japan, by the way. Folks buy them in little cricket cages....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Sun, 13 Feb 2011 22:24:35 -0500 Barb mangan <tipperboo12@msn.com> writes: > > Like I said, I have one in my computer room and it won't leave. Yes, they are stink bugs and they do make a loud noise. This one just won't leave my room. The trap sends out a 'sex smell' . The smell comes from a female stink bug, but they fool the bug because it is a trap. That gives me an idea. maybe your stink bug is a female so she isn't interested in the trap if it is sending off a female stink.
