You all need a Jack Russell. Best little varmit dog in the world. Nothing is safe from their harrasment. I have had one for 6 or 7 years. I never see any kind of varmit any more. She even torments birds. They are great friends also. Small but very brave. Shudder.....No way would I want to irritate a rattler....I've heard they infest the rocky bluff at the end of our ridge where it goes out onto the flood plain, but so far they have evaded me...Thank Goodness ! Copperheads in the far back yard are mean snake enough for me...Wonder if you could eat plain old garden /garter snakes ? Looks to me like it would be the same thing...Last year, I didn't see a single snake all summer...but hubby pursued one with great vigor in the hedge by the driveway, but it successfully slithered away...He's deadly afraid of snakes, I was taught not to be afraid of anything unless it was huge enough to stomp me flat....or had teeth longer than mine..Actually, we weren't taught to be afraid of anything, to tell the truth. One sister ended up afraid of snakes and one was afraid of mice..if you can believe....Jeannie T ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On Sun, 6 Mar 2011 07:51:30 -0600 Doug Crim <ddcrim@gmail.com> writes: > The problem with your plan is that he was underneath the house and sandwitched between some boards, I'd have had to irritate him in efforts to get him out in the open... had I known he'd move, I would have gone to great lengths to get him out where I could smack him... Rattlesnakes tastes more like rattlesnakes than they do chicken. Have a texture more like frog legs. Quite tasty in fact. > > :-)** > ____________________________________________________________ Globe Life Insurance $1* Buys $50,000 Life Insurance. Adults or Children.
