Oh, the Maple tree is doing fine...it's got enough ivy growing on it to hold it up if it fell...The roots were growing all around the big tree, so guess they didn't over balance it...Was told Mulberries will keep other plants from growing under them....Down in Georgia there were Mulberry trees growing that had NO fruit on them...We were told it was a type of Mulberry brought in for the silk worm trade....We have purplish black m berries here, but I have seen some that looked kind of dirty white. A friend in Chicago had a clipped hedge of while mulberries.... We used to love to pick them when I was a kid...and Mama sometimes made cobblers or jam from them. Some taste better than others...and I've read that some are called white mulberries but have colored berries...go figure !
