    3.   If my memory is right I first said that my brother  was expected to leave this world on  January first 2010.   Well beleive it or not he is still here but just barely.  We have been told that there is no more that can be done for him now and the end is definately near.   Life has not been easy for him as he fell out of bed and broke a hip and came home and a couple of weeks later he fell and broke his neck in two places and everyone said this is the end  for him but he has lived six more months.  All I can say is do not call him down and out as he has been down and out so many times.  However I do believe this is it for him but who really knows for sure.  I do not really consider his survival to be LIVING.  He has been in heelacious pain and is unable now to even eat.   He has his faults and I know them all very well   but in the end he is my BROTHER and I love him. I do not want to prolong his suffering and wish that he would just go to sleep and the good LORD would just take him home.   It was sixty years ago that we received a phone saying that he was hurt in a college football game and that he would nolt live through the night.  It just does seem real when I think of it.                                                                                                                                         Annette

    3. Annette, My heart, my prayers, and my love go out to you and to your family. This is such a difficult situation, and I do hope you are able to handle it however it plays out. I lost my sister just before Christmas after an unexpected but brief (five week) illness. I desperately didn’t want her to go, but I felt so badly for her enduring who knows what all as she lingered with us. I never could phathom out her philosophy of life, but I could not agree with it or buy into it, either. BUT, over the years, through thick and thin, she was my sister and I loved her very much. I was always there for her, and I never regretted it. I still cry for her loss, and perhaps always will. Above anything (and everything) else, she was my sister. I can’t bear the thoughts of anyone else going through this. I wish I were there with you now and I would give you a great big hug. But, please be assured my prayers and my thoughts are very much with you through this. 3. Oh Annette i just feel your pain and i also know just by your words how strong you are. To go thru what you have gone thru with this brother is amazing. To start his hurting in school leads to a long life of pain. I never cry for my self but i always do for others!! My family tells me God must have wired me wrong. But i am just being honest in telling you thoughts felt about brothers. Viola.

    3.   I thank you for your kindness Viola and yes brother and I have been through a lot but we also had some great times.  I just spoke to his wife and the doctors told her that there is nothing more that they can do for him so they are sending him to a nursing home and letting nature take its course.  I hope that the good Lord lets him go to sleep and then takes him home.
