I shared your snake letter with hubby ...as he is fascinated.....AND very repelled by snakes...Been waiting to see if it snuck up on you ! Glad it didn't..all that scraping and hammering probably put so much vibration in the area he decided to move out.....Odd story about that....We had a sunken in tiny path to the house from the huge Maple tree out front that carpenter ants had made in the lawn...hubby decided to chop out the roots that stuck up into lawn mower range ....Quite a few. Well, the little path went away and we didn't see any more carpenter ants...I suppose they nested in or under that tree and thought it was a good time to get outta town, since the tree was apparently being chopped down....Woo Hoo! Did the tree die? Just wondering as we have roots coming up in the lawn from the Mulberry tree. I know they come up because of water instead of going down. But was always afraid it would make the tree die or put it off center and blow over with our winds. We had one blow over years ago from the wind because it was full of leaves and had wind and rain. Just a wonderin?
